E.V.V. Satyanarayana was born on 10th June 1956
in Dommeru village
of West Godavari District
in Andhra Pradesh. He was a noted actor in Telugu films. He gave a new life to
his son Allari Naresh who is a noted comedy star of today’s generation. He died
in 2011 due to cardiac arrest. He was awarded with Nandi Award in 1994 for the
Telugu film Aame.
His presence was also pronouncing in Hindi films as
director, writer and producer. He focused on making comedy films than
commercial films and delivered innumerable hits in his career. He directed more
than 50 films in Telugu and Hindi. His films introduced many actors who debuted
through his films and made their own mark in the film industry.
Under the banner of EVV Cinema, he produced many films of
which Chala Baagundi was the beginning. It was a huge success to his luck. As a
director he delivered many comedy hits with actor Rajendra Prasad with the
films Aa Okkati Adakku and Jamba Lakadi Pamba. He also directed
movies like Hello Brother, Alluda Majaka, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Goppinti Alludu, Vaarasudu. Other films in which he
co-directed are Nalugu Stambhalata, Rendu Jella Seetha, Nelavanka, Rendu Rella Aaru, Aha
Naa Pellanta and Hai Hai Nayaka
along with his mentor Jandhyala. Satyanarayana was one among few directors who
concentrated in making quality films and family entertainers. His son, Allari
Naresh, is also a successful actor today who is fulfilling his father’s dream
of making comedy films.
